Guided by America's top lobbying experts, professionals who complete the Lobbying Certificate Program (LCP) stand at the top of their field. That's because this is the only certificate program that offers mastery of government operations and the legislative process plus practical know-how for getting results while meeting the highest standards of ethics and professionalism under the 2007 Honest Leadership and Open Government Act (HLOGA) and the 1995 Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA).

The Lobbying Certificate Program strengthens the skills and effectiveness of government relations personnel in lobbying firms, corporations, and not-for-profit organizations. New-from-the-Hill lobbyists quickly gain expertise it might otherwise take years to acquire, while experienced lobbyists can update their skills in new ethical and regulatory areas as they earn professional certification—and recognition as leaders in the federal lobbying community.
Choose professional certification or topical training
The Lobbying Certificate Program includes 5 core sessions plus a choice of 8 electives. Certification requires completion of the core sessions plus 6 electives. Government relations staff not seeking full certification can attend individual sessions as needed to enhance their skills and update their knowledge in specific areas of lobbying.
Convenient monthly training sessions
Each month, the Lobbying Certificate Program offers at least one session. Sessions may be taken in any order to obtain certification. All sessions are held in Washington, D.C., but are also offered by teleconference for individuals living or working outside the DC metro area. The Professional Lobbying Certificate requires 11 sessions (5 core, 6 electives). All requirements can be completed at your own pace. Register today!
Faculty
Monthly sessions are conducted by experts on each topic. These professionals include nationally recognized authorities from throughout the lobbying and government affairs arena. In addition, all Lobbying Certificate Program sessions are approved and backed by the expertise of the American League of Lobbyists and Lobbyists.info, a division of Columbia Books, publisher of Washington Representatives and The Lobbying Compliance Handbook. Lobbyists.info is also a proven training partner, having conducted programs on HLOGA compliance and regulatory training for more than 1,000 government relations professionals.
Tuition
Each individual session in the Lobbying Certificate Program is $245 ($145 for members of the American League of Lobbyists). The Professional Lobbying Certificate requires successful completion of 11 sessions. A 15% package discount is available for those wishing to purchase all 11 LCP sessions together.
