"I thought that the material that was covered was really good and the details that the speakers brought up gave me some great ideas about how to keep building our PAC."
Russ Merbeth, Integra Telecommunications
All PACs understand that campaign finance is critical to supporting a candidate or cause. But as the importance of fundraising grows, so do the pitfalls.
In 2011, PACs face the triple whammy of recession, regulatory complexity, and "campaign fatigue." In addition, you're likely to come under fierce scrutiny from an FEC once again staffed with commissioners plus a President who continues to state his intent to make changes, particularly with regard to lobbyists and bundlers.
The consequences for failing to amass a war chest are severe. So are the penalties for tax, legal, and management mistakes. That’s why updating your campaign finance expertise is critical.
Register now for PACs and Campaign Finance: New Year, New Environment, New Challenges
A core requirement for completing your LCP certification, this powerhouse double-session program covers the fundamentals of PAC management and campaign finance (morning) as well as advanced topics (afternoon). Guided by a panel of PAC experts and senior FEC officials, you'll learn the best practices for operating a successful PAC and fundraising campaign within an association, corporation or other business entity.
Attendance at either the Morning Session (9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.) or the Afternoon Session (1:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.) counts toward Lobbyist Certificate Program certification. You may sign up for the full day, or individual session(s). However, unless you are already well-versed on PACs or have taken the morning session, we strongly advise that you NOT take only the advanced afternoon session.
