Membership Information
Membership in the League is open to anyone actively employed in the field of government relations. Membership renewals are on a calendar basis, so the rates reflected for new members in each category are pro-rated each quarter. All memberships run through December 31, 2008. All members are asked to abide by the Code of Ethics (available for viewing by clicking here).
Individual Membership
This is the category available to individuals in the Washington, DC metropolitan area that are professionally employed in the field of government relations. Full voting membership with all membership benefits ($250 through 12/31/08). Click here to join.
Organizational Membership
A group membership for an organization with multiple individuals professionally employed in government relations in the Washington, DC area; covers up to six individuals at a cost of $750 through 12/31/08. (Additional members can be added at a cost of $50 each.) Full voting membership with all membership benefits. Click here to join.
Government/Academic
Available to educators and government officials whose work is related to lobbying, government relations or associated activities. Government/Academic members may serve on committees other than the Nominating, Executive, or the Budget and Finance Committees. $100 through the end of the 2008. Click here to join.
Nonresident
Available to individuals engaged in government relations outside the Washington, DC metropolitan area at a cost of $125 through the end of 2008. Full voting membership with all benefits. Click here to join.
Young Leadership Network
Available to individuals under age 30 who are engaged in government relations or related activities at a cost of $99. (Applicant must provide proof of birthdate.) Full voting membership with all benefits. Click here to join.
Associate
A nonvoting membership available to any person or firm engaged in selling products or services of interest to members of the League. Cost is $500 and entails advertising on the web site, mailing privileges and opportunities to demonstrate wares at appropriate events. Associate members are not eligible to hold office within the league. Click here to join.
Student
Available to any full-time student at either the graduate or undergraduate level. This category is a nonvoting membership, and Student members are not eligible to hold office, although a Student membership may be converted to another category upon completion of studies. Cost of Student membership is $30. Click here to join.
Renewals
Renewal rates are based on a full year's membership and are less than the comparable rate paid during the first year of membership. Only individuals who are already in our membership database are eligible for the renewal rates. Click here to renew.
