Domenic Ruscio
Domenic Ruscio is a specialist in government relations and the legislative process. His 14 years of government experience includes serving on the staff of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, where he advised senators on funding for federal health, education and employment training programs. He was subsequently appointed Deputy Assistant Secretary for Management and Budget at the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare, where he helped guide overall federal education policy and managed a $62 million annual budget. Upon creation of the Department of Education, he was appointed Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislation, serving as liaison to the congressional appropriations committees. He has been a featured speaker on the legislative and appropriations processes at numerous governmental, university, industry, and trade association conferences. He co-authored a new chapter for the 2009 American Bar Association Lobbying Manual entitled "Lobbying the Appropriations Process," which U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid called an insightful look at best practices for lobbyists seeking to influence the process. Mr. Ruscio received his B.S. in Finance from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
