Pamela J. Whitted

Pam Whitted serves as Vice President of Government Affairs for the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association where she is the senior staff executive to the Government Affairs Division, including association public policy development and implementation, ROCKPAC activities and contributions and acts as liaison with the federal government agencies and other industry associations. She is the chief association advocate on Capitol Hill and oversees development and dissemination of association policy position papers and Government Affairs Division publications for use by NSSGA’s grassroots.

Prior to joining the association, Pam represented the North American interests of BHP Billiton, an international natural resources company based in Melbourne, Australia, with lawmakers and regulators in Washington, D.C.

Pam served as Director of Congressional Liaison for the Federal Regulatory Commission where she was deeply involved in the working with Congress on major energy legislation. For five years, Pam worked for several members of Congress serving as office manager and legislative assistant.

Pam is a native of Omaha, Nebraska, and obtained a BA in Speech Communications from the University of Nebraska. She earned a MS in Public Policy at the American University and studied law at George Washington University. She serves on the Executive Committee of The Road Information Program and on the Board of Directors of the American League of Lobbyists.

Pam resides in Vienna, Virginia, with her husband, Jack Gleason.
