Young Leadership Network
The American League of Lobbyists (ALL) is reinvigorating its Young Leadership Network (YLN) as part of an ongoing campaign to actively recruit and prepare America's next generation of lobbyists.
The Young Leadership Network, once an active extension of the League, exists to provide young professionals with a peer-to-peer network designed to foster deep roots in Washington and throughout the lobbying community. ALL aims to revitalize the YLN in an effort to increase participation amongst young members of the lobbying profession, as well as to provide them with valuable educational and professional development opportunities to grow in their respective careers and as members of the League.
Through the Young Leadership Network, ALL aims to provide young lobbyists with the forum to engage in strategic debate about the current state of the industry and discuss ways to shape its future in Washington. By providing young professionals with meaningful professional programs and social events, YLN will seek to raise positive awareness of the League's core mission of helping Americans understand the critical roles that lobbyists play in our society.
It is also the League's intent that the YLN mirror its efforts to contribute charitably to the non-lobbying community. Building upon successful League charity drives, YLN will pursue youth-driven charitable efforts of its own, always seeking to strengthen ties between the lobbying community and the greater Washington, D.C. community. The current state of the economy has only increased the need for charitable initiatives like ALL's annual Capitol PurSuits Drive and Hoops for Hope Charity Game.
Towards these goals, YLN is currently developing a schedule of events and programs to offer in the upcoming year. Current members of the Young Leadership Network are actively seeking young professionals who are interested in participating in the group's efforts to reinvent itself.
