Committees

Volunteers welcomed! As a nonprofit organization, ALL depends on volunteers to help run the organization. Members are encouraged to participate at the committee level, particularly if they are interested in eventually serving on the board of directors. Listed below are the various active committees, along with their chairs. If you are interested in learning more about the opportunities for committee service, please contact our Executive Director.

Budget & Finance
Committee responsible for recommending annual budget to ALL board and overseeing implementation

Committee responsible for developing activities and programs that will further the public's understanding of lobbying and the League.

Membership
Committee responsible for expanding the scope and size of the organization’s membership as well as its dues structure. The work of this committee is integrally related to the Programs Committee and the Membership Benefits Committee. It also is responsible for expanding the number of Associate and Corporate members of the League.

Membership Benefits
Committee responsible for developing vendor discounts on products and services as well as other benefits available exclusively to members of the League.

Professional Ethics & Standards
Committee's Vision: The American League of Lobbyists maintains a standing Professional Standards and Conduct Committee to both foster ethical conduct and to be a source of advice for ALL members on lobbying practices, law and regulations. We believe it is important to communicate both to ALL members and others in the lobbying profession the high standard of conduct to which we should adhere in our dealings with the government, our clients, the public and each other. Periodically, the Committee will publish updates and reminders for Member reference and use. We welcome your input and feedback and any suggestions you may have to insure the League's high standards are maintained.
